Having time to do things again is amazing. Being back is good too. The brain is a great thing to be able to harness but when it comes down to it, using ones hands makes you feel much more accomplished. Like you've actually done something. When you can sit back at the end of the day and feel your veins throbbing and your muscles relaxing themselves, then something definitely was done.
Some sort of life has come back into the Cello. She seems to have relented while I was away, and to tell the truth I missed her quite a bit. Strangely, the Goltermann concerto has not left my fingers completely, and I got on to the 3rd page, which I believe is the 2nd movement - the Bminor bit that's really beautiful. It seems doable, somehow. I think I may even get to page 9 before Christmas. Time will tell.
...and summer flies by, ever faster. There were a whole lot of things I wanted to do and I seem to have forgotten most of them. But I like the direction it's taking, it keeps my life interesting.
