The Length of Existence
Just as I reach the beginning of my adult life, I am plastered with words, signs, advice that the world is ending quite soon. How ironic. Thanks guys, this is fun. It seems perhaps every generation has felt it was destined to be the last. So far, it hasn't proved to be the case. But here's a question: how much more would it matter if the world ended tomorrow instead of 2 weeks from now? What would you do differently if the world were ending tomorrow? Since we are not meant to know the day the world will end, why aren't we changing things right now? Today could be our last. If you live every day expecting, or at least prepared for it to be your last, think how much brighter they would appear. Instead of wondering how many days we have left on this blob of dirt and ocean, how about we stand in awe of the fact that we have been blessed with another day, an entire week, what - a whole year?! Perhaps it is a little backwards, but it's a much more positive outlook.
